(Interdisciplinary Journal of Mathematics, Sciences, Literature and Arts. WorldWideWeb Publications: Science Limited a 12-chapter book critical of scientism
and the role of both natural and human sciences today, 1998 - revised 2004). This web book deals
with intellectual, social and ethical challenges remaining to science.
The great achievements of science are of course not rejected but, with a view to
clarifying the limits to scientific understanding - both at present
and in principle - some shortcomings in what science investigates are examined.
The
Philosophy of Understanding - Universal knowledge & values a 7-chapter study of human understanding in general; its nature,
main structure, functions and likely limits. The full scope of explicit
forms of understanding is considered, from practical, inter-personal,
communicational, scientific and philosophical understanding to ethical and
metaphysical insight.
The
Human Whole - An Outline of Human Psychology a 23-chapter book,
revised, extended edition 1998 - revised 2004, 2012). This book aims to give an understanding of person-centered human psychology in clear terms avoiding scientific-technical
language. It would provide a frame
of reference to aid in integrating personal understanding of oneself and of others. Basic assumptions of modern Western psychology are
re-interpreted where relevant and brought into an overall perspective, one which focuses on psychic health, consciousness, human possibilities and challenges
of personal development. It deals only secondarily with the science of behaviourism and bodily conditioning,
psychopathology or psychic illness.
Treatise on freedom and fate, cause and choice A philosophical study - an elucidation of the complex of questions surrounding the ideas of free will and their diverse implications. Non-theism Articles expressing an agnosticism as close to atheism as one can get without becoming absolutist Articles in Norwegian Books, Journals and National Newspapers
