I cannot forget the fun of seeing Bernard Bresslaw with his gormless Cockney accent in witty repartee in the 1950 when he appeared as the misplaced lofty recruit in the skiving platoon of what looked like National Service rejects waiting to be demobbed. Here he is in The Army Game:-
