This
is the front cover of the first edition of my book, later entitled 'Source
of the Dream'. However, at that time the title was 'The Source of Dream'.
It was printed at Brindavan Printers in Bangalore, where the Sanathana
Sarathi artwork was also printed at that time. It was issued in 10,000
copies, which were given to the Sathya Sai Book and Publications Trust,
where it was sold [mostly under the counter to Suri's cronies] at the
rate of Rs. 50/- per copy - and since journalists found that the Convener,
Mr. N. Suri had kept no accounts but had pocketed the money himself (piles
of cash being found in his room during the post-murder investigations
at the ashram). This edition suffered from incompetant technical staff
(computer workers and printers), all of which errors were corrected in
the 1998 Samuel Weiser edition. |
